About
How I work.
Approach
I draw from ACT, EMDR, and psychodynamic work — choosing the tool for the moment, not the ideology. What matters isn’t the label; it’s whether the conversation is actually helping you see yourself more clearly.
Therapy with me is collaborative. You bring what’s on your mind; I bring attention, questions, and the occasional well-placed nudge. We build from there.
What to expect
Unhurried, intentional, private.
The first session
We talk about what brought you here, what you’re hoping for, and how I work. No pressure — just a chance to see if this feels like the right fit.
Format
Most clients meet weekly or every other week. Sessions are 50 minutes (75 for couples). In-person or secure video — whatever works for your life.
Confidentiality
Everything we discuss stays between us, with narrow legal exceptions I’ll explain in the first session. I keep minimal records, ethically and securely.
In practice since 2014
About me
A decade in the room — and still curious.
I’ve been a therapist for over a decade, working mostly with adults and couples in private practice. Before this, I was a researcher — I still bring that curiosity into the room, but the lab coat stays off.
I work best with people who are ready to look at their lives honestly — not because they’re broken, but because they want things to be better. The work is steady. The change is real.
Outside of sessions, I read too much, walk too little, and believe strongly in the therapeutic power of not taking yourself too seriously.
